Our home-schooling sessions combine movement, soccer and creative games to provide a fun, inclusive and purposeful learning experience, without recreating the traditional classroom.
Learning doesn’t have to happen sitting at a desk.
We use physical activity, games and challenges to encourage children to communicate, problem-solve, work together and build confidence, while developing fundamental movement and soccer skills along the way.
Sessions are relaxed, adaptable and designed to give children the freedom to participate at their own level. There’s no pressure to be good at soccer, and activities can be adapted for different ages, abilities and learning needs.
Move. Explore. Connect. Learn.
What We Focus On
- Physical Development – Building movement, coordination, balance, fitness and fundamental motor skills.
- Social Connection – Creating opportunities to meet others, communicate, cooperate and develop friendships.
- Confidence & Independence – Encouraging children to make choices, try new things and recognise what they can achieve.
- Problem Solving & Creativity – Using games and challenges that encourage thinking, imagination and different ways of finding solutions.
- Enjoyment & Wellbeing – Making physical activity something children associate with fun, belonging and positive experiences.
Learning Through Movement
Our sessions can complement home education by creating practical opportunities to develop skills across Health & Physical Education, personal development, communication, teamwork and social-emotional learning.
The emphasis isn’t on winning or sporting ability. Children learn through doing, experimenting, making decisions, working with others and having fun.
For Home-School Groups & Organisers
Looking for something for your existing home-school community? We can work with organisers to create regular sessions, one-off activities or special events around the needs of your group.
We Come To You
You don’t need to be near an existing Rainbow Roos venue. We can bring our coaches, equipment and activities to home-school groups and communities across the areas we service.
Whether it’s a handful of families getting together locally or an established home-school network looking for regular activities, we can build something around your group.
Making Sessions More Accessible
ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHERS
Rainbow Roos accepts NSW Active Kids vouchers towards eligible programs, helping make regular participation more affordable for families.
NDIS FUNDING
Many children with NDIS funding join our regular group sessions. Where appropriate to their goals and funding arrangements, we can also provide additional support and individualised sessions.
